"Bijou"
“Bijou,” an exhibition of intimately sized artwork by five local women artists, will be on display for the month of April 2011 at MVS Studios.The works are by members of the Praxis Collective who include artists Tauna Cole, Jenni Higginbotham, Jacklyn St. Aubyn, Isadora Stowe, and Jean Wilkey.

Praxis Collective is a newly formed group of women artists, researchers, and art educators, engaged in artistic practice, education, and contemporary scholarship.

The miniature paintings depict themes relating to home, interpersonal relationships, and nature. All works are 4” x 4” in size, relating to the show’s title “Bijou” which refers to a small delicately worked piece.
